Re: Proposal to fix BNL problem RE: BNL/aquabid
Joe,
I have been criticized before on this list for placing a proposal on the
list for debate by the list members. To which my reply was; It gives the BOT
a gauge of the consensus of the members.
Now in the same vein why not do this with the Membership Committee's
proposal to ensure mailing of the BNL by the first of each month, Rather than
send it to certain members of the BOT to consider in secret. A broad
consensus of the members wishes in favor of your proposal would I believe
move the BOT to take action.
After all we are supposed to be governed by an open BOT not by a closed
leadership where Father Knows Best.

I am assuming you mean Chairman of the BOT and not the membership committee.
A proposal has been drafted by the membership committee and sent to certain
members of the BOT to consider and share with the remainder of the BOT, that
would practically assure the BNL would be mailed by the 1st of the month.
This proposal does not add any more work to any individual, instead it
adjusts the timing of deadlines. I believe that this proposal will cure 75%
or more of the late BNL problems. The membership committee has nothing but
respect and praise for the work that the BNL mailer does and the problem in
no way, shape or form resides with that person; I know that for certain.
This issue can easily be resolved and one of the core satisfactions of the
membership reinstated through the proposal currently before the BOT. >>
