Yes, high conductivity, but boy, the effect was so startling. I will try it 
again on some less spooky fish. I have had fish die because of minor 
electrical currents that resulted from defective seals on pumps and heaters. 
But that is 110 volt AC current, not a static charge nor a battery operated 
pH meter. However, what is the effect when an electric eel or catfish does 
its thing? I guess we decided a long while ago that the effect of a battery 
connected to copper wires on hydra was dissolution of the copper, not the 
electric current per se.
