I like _Killifish: A Complete Pet Owner's Manual_ by Steffen Hellner. It's
only $6.95 at:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0812044754/qid%3D961985387/104-0093461-6187131

For deeper husbandry stuff, it's hard to beat the first volume of the
Baensch Atlas series, but the Beginner's Guide from AKA probably does a
pretty good job of it. AKA membership *and* the Guide, for the same price as
the Atlas!

For the "scientific stuff" I'm fond of _Fish and Invertibrate Culture_, an
out-of-print book by Stephen H. Spotte, for water quality, and the _Handbook
of Fish Diseases_ by Untergasser for that kind of stuff.

It was all for naught. Taxation with representation sucks too!
