TDS differences

Well,

The TDS meter has arrived and I'm having loads of fun checking out all my
tanks. Not to surprisingly all the difference between them have to do with
how much salt I put into the water. That's good, huh!

I was wondering how much of a difference is too much. I know that one has
more latitude going up that going down. I am moving some of my N. eggersi
to an established tank that has about 212ppm from the one they were in
which sits at around 260. Too much? There are a couple of cories in this
tank already, so I don't want to jack it up too much so I don't stress them
out.

Just looking for guidelines from y'all. many thanks in advance!
