Yes, I thought Jim had just posted such information -- a pretty well
documented scientific study.
Barometric pressure changes are too slight to have any effect on dissolved
gas, so the only change is the same as a slight change in water depth. I'm
not a fanatic about keeping all my tanks within a half mm of one level, so I
simple don't notice the effect on spawning in my fishroom.
There *is* an effect with humidity in stormy weather that may make Bettas in
poorly-covered tanks find bubble nests last longer. Again, mine are tightly
covered so I just never observed that one either. In poorly-covered killy
tanks, higher humidity can reduce evaporative surface cooling, so might
influence top minnows in that way, IDK.
I seriously doubt that barometric pressure has any effect on spawning,
directly.
