I think you mean third generation from any starting point.  Wild or otherwise.

   Could someone please offer some explanation for the terminology used in 
referring to generations eg. F3 etc.  Am I correct in assuming that F 
represents female and 3 the third generation?  Is F0 therefore the original 
female?
