June ARK meeting

It is almost time for the June meeting of the Arizona Rivulin Keepers. Mark
Saturday, June 10, on your calendars. The location is our usual Round Table
Pizza at the northwest corner of Ray and Rural Roads in south Tempe (check
our website for directions - http://ARK.killi.net). Please note, we will be
starting at 5 PM instead of our regular 6:30. We have to leave by 9 PM so
another group can use the room.

Use the first half hour to socialize and eat pizza. Remember soft drinks
are free when you wear your name tag! This is also the time to set up your
auction items and bowl show entries. The bowl show for June features AKA
Class 6: Paraphyosemion species (the gardneri group including gardneri,
mirabilis, amieti, etc.). Bring your own fish in your own container.

The program for June is an AKA video. We will watch a presentation by Peter
Tirbak on the Elegans Group. Peter has specialized on this group of killies
for over 30 years and his knowledge of these species is very evident.

We will offer our usual auction terms for this month's auction: 30% to the
club and 70% to the seller. Bring your killies (adults, juveniles, and
eggs), other small fish, aquatic plants, and food cultures. Rumor has it
that we might see some native fishes collected at the AKA Convention in
Florida.

Future meetings:

Saturday, July 8, 6:30-10 PM (of course, we will probably be done before
then), program still to be determined.

Saturday, August 12, 6:30-10 PM, our speaker will be Jeff Krueger from
Marineland Laboratories.

Meetings are free and the public is welcome. If any killie friends from out
of the area find their business or pleasure brings them to Phoenix when we
meet, please feel free to visit.
