Re: New member

I raised these like blue gularis. Cool, soft, acid, water. Lots of mops so that they can hide from each other. Lots of food. And more food. Keep water clean. I would suggest mixing rainwater or R/o water with an equal amount of water from an established tank. Add sea salt at the rate of 1 tsp per gallon. A squirt of Amquel probably wouldn't hurt. Then slowly add this mixture to the bag of fish that you bought. A drop siphon is best. Put your fish in their water in a bucket on the floor. Put an airline hose in the container that has the new water. Tie a loose not in the airline hose and put it in the bucket. Tighten the airline hose knot so that water comes out at the rate of about a drop per second. When the bucket is ½ full, empty and repeat. Then net the fish out and put them in your quarantine tank for a few days. Do not feed dead food for the first few days. Daphnia and live baby brine, or mosquito larvae would all be ideal. Good Luck...bob
