need ogoense 80/24 feeding tips

Hi all--

I bought a trio of A. ogoense 80/24 at a club auction last week and need
some help with them. They are not eating (or at least, not eating when I
observe them). To date I have tried them on daphnia (absolutely no
interest), mosquito larvae (flicker of interest) and assorted flake and
frozen food. They seem to spend their time at the surface of the water,
would fruit flies or other live floating food be a good bet? Any tips
would be appreciated. They are about half grown and a beautiful fish. I
would hate to lose them.

While I am at it, any tips on water values (pH, hardness, etc) would
also be appreciated.
