Easy sterile

In the Mar.& Apr. 1989 edition of the AKA Journal Jeff Kukelhan wrote about a way to sterilize tanks and equipment using usual household items that been very successful fur me over the years. A mixture of 1/2 cup Clorox in 5 gal.of water allowed to stand overnight has been very effective. This is then followed by a rinse of 1/2 cup vinegar in 1 gal. of water to facilitate the removal of the Clorox. I fill the tanks clear up under the brim, throw in any other equipment and after setting overnight, rinse with the vinegar and then good clear water.I have slate bottom tanks that get a buildup of algae that is very difficult to remove but this method does a beautiful job and requires very little effort. Try it. Duane Wake
