Maybe velvet.  I recall they were somewhat suceptable and that a few people
advocated some salt into the tank like how they do with Nothos.  I haven't
had this problem with the long finned whiteclouds that I am playing around
with.  Also, keep in mind that very oftent he ones with the longest fins
are the oldest (indeterminant fin growth, continues growing as the fish
lives).
