RE: New to killies

The Chesapeake Killi Club will be meeting at my house (see signature for
address) on Saturday, April 22 at 1:00pm. There will be a lot of people
here and lots-o-killies because members of the Chesapeake Club will have
returned from the West Coast Weekend in California and we are bringing back
fish for the auction. The directions to my house is on our website also
listed in my signature. Hope you can make it and give me a call if you
like.

Subject: New to killies

Hi!

I'm just joining the killie interest, though I've kept community fish for
many years (as well as other fourlegged mammals and reptiles). Right now
I'm in the process of getting my first killies. I had hoped to have
received them, but I'm still waiting for them to be shipped. I may just be
impatient. . . Anyway, given that I am a neophyte and would be interested
in other species of killies apart from the two that I ordered a month ago
(A. garderi and Apl. lineatus) I'm wondering about any others that might
be good "starter" killies? Do you suggest getting eggs or fish to start?
And another question, related to the whole shipping thread, what types of
boxes do you ship in? Where do you get them? It seems that a lot of you
would prefer for me to have my own. Though, if anyone in Northern Virginia
would be willing to part with a nice starter pair of a good species, I
could just drive over :)

Thanks for your help!

Annika
