In the NCKC/BAKA we had youngsters as the finest of our breeders until the
demands of high school pulled them away from it. Father Derugin's daughters,
Slava and Lissa (sp?) always walked off with all the trophies and ribbons in
every show they entered.
As the demands of school and raising a family loom, the hours of enjoyment
we got from our fish have to take a back seat. Just after college, I was an
avid breeder, but dropped entirely out of fish when I started a new company
and had my first son in the same month. I didn't get back to it for almost
25 years in any serious way.
I believe in providing all the support and encouragement we can to young
hobbyists, but we must give them some slack to have a life, too. OK?

"DEMOCRACY" is two wolves and a lamb voting on lunch.
"LIBERTY" is a well-armed lamb denying enforcement of the vote.
