If "Cathy" is lurking, I notice that the area code given by Joe is for the
Suburbs north of Chicago. Ironically probably few of us in the neighborhood
noticed because we were at the CKA show - which was a splendid time. The
killie people, some very fine (but not cheap) killies and a couple of very
insightful programs by Jaap Vlaming made it a wonderful time. I will never
approach breeding Aphyosemions in exactly the same ways again.
Cathy, I hope you were one of the startlingly large group that materialized
for the auction Sunday morning. I would invite you to get a hold of Joe to
join the AKA. If you want local opinions on membership and the Chicagoland
affiliate, go to the www.aka.org site, link to the affiliates and Chicago.
Our membership list (sort of current) is there. Give anyone a call or
e-mail.
Brad Higgins will be presenting a program Natural set-ups on May 12. Jim
Gasior, Aphyosemion impresario, fresh from the National, will be speaking
July 14th. Check the club page for details.
