AKA Open Board Meeting
I knew I was opening a can of worms when I fired off my message about the F&E linting. But I didn't expect such a fire storm.
I would like to add that thsi forum, the Kilie Talk list is just that, an electronic forum for discussion. There have been many coments, both pro and con regarding the use of electronic media. I just want to encourage all AKA members who are attending this year's convention to attend the Open Board meeting because that's were your opinion can be officially discussed and debated, whether you are for or against any particular intiative. If you cannot attend, then send an mail to you regional board member. You can find their names in the BNL and on the web site.
It is also a good time to step forward and officially volunteer to help out. Many folks have expressed ideas and their willingness to lend a hand over the past few months. So if you are serious, make both your opinion known and your willingness and desire to make things happen.
As an aside, I would point out that the BOT has been very responsive to ideas and intiatives. The F&E is on-line (and I hope that continues). I have also seen financial data this year, which was a gripe that appeared on threads with some regularity in the past. So the BOT does listen and does take action. So don't lose heart.
