RE: Building an Incubator
I use a thermostat controlled chicken egg incubator (Styrofoam). I
purchased it at a farm supplies store in Virginia. About $35.00 if I
remember right. I use one of those Radio Shack indoor/outdoor thermometers
to more accurately track the temperature in the box as my fishroom
temperature varies. I keep the box between 79 and 80 degrees and my hatch
times are more reliable.

Subject: Building an Incubator
Now that my kids have grown and are off living their lives, my wife has been
hounding me to build a fish room and move all my aquariums situated around
the house into one room. (Nobody else has this problem... right?) I was
reviewing old JAKAs, when I came across the March/April 1986 issue
regarding Karl Doering's article on building an incubator. The article
contains some good information; however, I'd like thoughts from other AKA
members on what they have done. I am especially interested in theremostat
control. What works for you? Got a newer design?
