The Bay Area Killifish Association (BAKA) is proud to present its ninth
annual international killifish show and convention on the weekend of April
15 and 16, 2000 in Palo Alto, California. BAKA will be celebrating its
32nd year of promoting the killifish hobby. There will be a fish show as
well as fish sales, raffles, t-shirts, and an auction. The highlight will
be guest speakers from all over North America as well as Europe who will be
available to answer any questions about killies after each talk. The
speakers so far include:
Dr. Thomas Litz, President of the German killie club DKG (on Uruguayan
annuals and one other topic TBA)
Dr. Ron Harlan (on our changing environment and collecting)
Peter Unmack (on Australian desert fishes)
Dr. Nevin Aspinwall (on collecting in West Africa)
The fish show, which will be held on Saturday afternoon, is FREE as always
and open to the public. The show will feature over a hundred pair of the
most colorful fish available in the aquarium hobby. A registration fee of
$20.00 includes entry into the lectures, the show, the fish sales, and the
big auction of show fish and imports from Europe on Sunday afternoon.
