Sorry to put a "personal" item on this list, but I am painfally aware of
the difficulty of finding affordable temporary housing in the NY metro
area, and consequently I'm trying to network with as many people as
possible. May I presume on everyone's good humor and ask that this request
be distributed to any people or bulletin boards that may seem appropriate?
I will, of course, be available for fishy talks, both formal and informal,
while I'm in the NY area.
My wife and I will be doing sabbatical leaves in the NY area from late May
through Dec. 2000. These will be our first leaves in 22 years. I will be at
the AMNH, hopefully writing a book, and Barbara will be at NYU med center,
learning some new techniques in molecular endocrinol. We are now
desperately looking for living quarters. I realize that only by networking
on a large scale will we be likely tofind a place to live. We really do
need the help---this thing as taken 22 years to put together as it is... A
brief summary of our requirements
follows:
> Rental ceiling: $800/mo (I can dream, can't I). Would be willing to
> neogtiate this a bit.
> Location: anywhere in the NY metro area near a subway or commuter train.
>incl NJ, CT, Brooklyn, Queens, etc.
> Time period (approx): 1 June through 31 Dec. 2000
> Space requirements: 1 bdrm or larger; prefer furnished sublet.
