OK,

How about this,

we scan in all the JAKA's and Killi notes and whatever else we need to do, then we
get it out to the membership, as is, the way it was published in the original form.

Then as those of us peruse it, we can make corrections to the text to be included
in a ongoing project to update and keep current the resource.

Using Html and today's low price CD burners we could do the cd's to order, and as
updates are included, a new CD could be burned and distributed to those with an
interest in ordering it.

I have used my ACA BB disc probably over 100 times and each time I found an error I
noted it down.

At the 98 ACA convention I approached John Kuhns, who was in charge of the ACA CD
project, with my list of changes, wherein he explained to me that the scanned
material was incorrectable (was that the right word), since the Scanning company
had put it all in one big file.

We should learn from the ACA's mistake and go with a separate file, either for each
article, or each issue, but not have one huge file to have to deal with.

Technology has come a long way since the ACA did their disk and we have the
expertise here to divide the project between many of us.

I bet most of us have scanners with OCR now, and if we each scanned the
publications that we have access to the project could be done in a much shorter
time then one person or a small committee taking it all on.

Certainly having the government census bureau help us with the project would be a
great help.

I won't be writing my congressman requesting their help although!!
