Sounds good. I'll try it.

I have been just using plain sliced bread (usually Roman Meal "Honey Oat
Nut") and have no bad odors like I used to with dry baby food and yeast. The
only yeast is what trickles in with a starter, and I dampen the bread as wet
as it will get without any standing water. It turns to mush, and -- if it
dies -- it just smells yeasty and alcoholic, without the hideous rot smell I
got before. I just toss a new slice into the mush, usually, and add water as
needed if it is still going strong. That's usually good for several slices
(many weeks).
