Do pond snails eat fish eggs?

That's the question. I need to know b/c I need a little scavenger for a
Java Moss-filled 2.5 gal aquarium w/ a piece of driftwood that occupies most
of the lower strata, hence, corys and such wouldn't fit. I figure those
little football shaped pond snails might be able to clean up the leftover
food (that isnt' eaten by the fry or the adults) and provide a marginal
source of microorganisms for smaller or newborn fry to feed on. I'm just
worried about them chowing down on the Striatum eggs, too. Thanks.
