Hi all,
Just to set the record straight:
I earlier posted a message mentioning N. rubripinnis TZ 85/28. That was a
mental slip, an error that Brian Watters has pointed out to me.The
Mbwemkuru rubripinnis was distributed with the code KTZ 85/28 (not
TZ 85/28). I hope I haven't caused even more confusion with that slip.

Fellows,
Triops are another type of shrimp, along with brine shrimp, which exist in
seasonal ponds. Unfortunately, unlike brine shrimp, which are filter
feeders, Triops are carnivorous. If you want to grow them, you must supply
a
healthy protein source. They are mud feeders they will eat any type of food
which is either in the mud or settles on it. ie. live or frozen foods. If
you don't supply these foods, they eat each other. Also, throw a bag of
activated charcoal in the tank if you don't have a power filter.
