Re: Cold Killies

Hello,

I've had a little experience with "Cold Killies". Use acriflavin, mthelyne
blue or salt to inhibit ich and velvet. Velvet is your real problem I've
never experienced an ich infection amongst my killies. Go a little heavy
on the acriflavin as your fish will develop this infection as they warm up
and become more active. You must remember that the parasites are cold and
not multiplying and moving around very much because they are cold
too. When the parasites warm up there metabolism tells them to do one
thing, reproduce. The fish because they are temperature stressed are they
ideal non resistant host.

Addiding acriflavin, methylene blue and/or salt will prevent the parasites
from reproducing and allow your fish some recovery time.

Good Luck, please post follow ups to your observations.
