Listserv formatting again

Well it's happening again.  I'm getting some strange problems reading the 
list.  In the most recent case, there is a "" in the file (in this case in 
one of Bill's messages just before the signature) which then causes the rest 
of the file to be displayed as "strike-through" text.  Can we PLEASE send our 
messages in plain text, as opposed to MIME, HTML, and other formats?
