It is a good idea.  Sort of like APR.  Me I just use rotifers (they can be
enriched just like artemia napuli).  Got a culture going in two 5 gallon
buckets, feed um green water, yeast, spirulina, etc. Do just fine for
feeding most fry.  I do know that the adults also eat them.  ALso Moina
worked well (the younger ones) were comparable to artemia napuli, only
problem is they need warm water to reproduce well, now it is down to 50 F
outside and sometimes in the 40's I think my moina have all gone dormant
for the winter....
