Re: E-Mail addresses for Membership Roster, 2000 Edition

Another thing;
Many times I have looked at the "member information" section of the AKA
site. A huge number of members don't list anything! I really think for
most it is probably a lack of effort or awareness of the listing rather than
an expression of privacy. This section is a nice feature of the site and
spreads info on who likes to keep what and where they are located. A lot of
members have a few pairs of available fish and are afraid to list in the BNL
for fear of being flooded with orders they cant fill so no one knows what
they have. There seems to be no way of saying "looking for a malexxx or
have extra femaleyyy" via the AKA except for killitalk which "is not to be
used as a substitute for the F&EL". Knowing a little about what people are
keeping might help point someone to a source for a fish of interest.
Please, update your member information if you just have neglected rather
than intentionally omitted things. Even keeping the initial membership
roster each year does not solve the problem. Many members get listed in
subsequent issues and one must go thru a lot of BNL's to find information,
and even then it is just a name or address.
