About FINS

Search FINS:

The Killietalk list is provided by the American Killifish Association. It is intended to provide a forum for discussion of all matters related to killifish, by beginners and experts alike. Membership in the list is open to all, whether members of the AKA or not. Appropriate topics for discussion include (but are not limited to):
  • Maintenance of killifish in the aquarium
  • Breeding of killifish
  • Biology of killifish
  • Nomenclature
  • Reports and discussion of collecting trips
  • AKA programs
  • AKA policies
Advertisements from commercial-scale operations are not allowed. The list is not intended as a substitute for the AKA's Fish and Egg Listing, published monthy in the Business News Letter.

We intend that this list be friendly and free of flames. Discussions may be animated, but personal attacks and foul language are actively discouraged. Discussion of AKA policies is acceptable as long as it is polite and constructive. It is strongly recommended that, upon joining the list, you peruse the list archives and monitor the list for a while before posting your question.

The Killietalk archives (collected by month) can be retrieved from the FINS Web Site. More information about the list is also available on the AKA site.

Start a new thread when appropriate. The archives are organized by thread to make searching easier.

We request that you append a one or two-line signature file to your messages. This makes it easier for list users to offer local expertise. Please also avoid using the list for private messages.

We hope you enjoy killietalk!

To send a message to the list, address your mail to KillieTalk@AKA.Org. To subscribe to this list, please visit http://www.actwin.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/killietalk.
