One thing you might consider..  If your area has grass carp 
invasion problems, catch a grass carp, and use him as cut bait for 
your traps.    Caught one yesterday on a fly rod, pretty good fight, 
now he's in the freezer awaiting his final destination.  Tossed a 
black popper in a way that made it look like a fallen berry of some 
sort.
