I've used a daylight bulb, along with a Pennplax Aqm. bulb on a 55gal plant
tank with really good results. I found that, for some reason, the daylight
bulb looks better in the back and the Pennplax bulb to the front. Daylight
bulbs, alone, give everything in the tank a kinda washed out look. The
Pennplax bulbs brighten up the colors.
