Positions Available
Biological Technician(s) Needed
Two temporary 1-year USGS positions (GS-5/7) with
possible extensions available for ecological and habitat studies of fish and
mussel populations in northwest Florida rivers. Potential exists for
developing a graduate research project and longer-term support. Work
requires demanding physical endurance, hazards, exposure to outdoor conditions,
and long hours. Minimum qualifications include bachelor's degree in
biological or physical sciences with some field experience. Knowledge
and/or experience with GIS applications, graphics, and quantitative tools
preferred. Starting date to begin as soon as positions are filled.
Qualified minority students are especially encouraged to apply.
