Re: [Killietalk] Fellow of AKA bio`
Roger:: Hello and I hope you are on t he mend again. It is apparent you are
a "tough hombre" and you keep bouncing back. Keep trying as the medical
doctors keep making new discoveries as they investigate and learn the
metabolic processes of our bodily functions. In short, keep fighting --
please.
I thought you were doing a bio of George Maier. Am I mistaken? George just
wrote to say you were going to do bios on Roy Ingersoll and Al Castro. That
is great. Do you want me to try to gather info f rom others as well? These
were all tremendous killifish hobbyists and brilliant men who knew and
worked with almost "everyone" in the good old days. Yep, we have enjoyed
some wonderful people in this hobby, Roger and the present bunch is pretty
good also. . .
Is there any chance you will be attending Syracuse? That is a real long
drive and, judging by the storms in the upper Midwest, there will probably
be snow and ice over Memorial Day. Just kidding, but the weather has been
fearsome this year and is hanging on. Perhaps this is the beginning of
another Little Ice Age. Time will tell.
It has been a mild winter in Florida with lots of dry weather. Not unusual
as winter is our dry season every year. We have enjoyed TWO years without
any nasty storms as hurricanes and are trying to be lucky again. Of course,
these storms carry immense amounts of water and Florida has had drought
years the past five years. We need water, but no hurricanes if you please
I have enjoyed your killietalk, Roger, but you realize no one is going to
abide by a mandatory breeding program. Still, you and Charlie have
rejuvenated it a good deal.Let's pray a bunch will join the program again.
Beating the bushes and getting people -- esp the newcomers involved is
imperative. Keep pushing and some will follow as the external pressures
overseas continue to grow more severe.
So long; spring comes in 9 days, so get ready.
Harry
