[Killietalk] Is this normal Killie behavior?

I'm very happy to finally have my first pair of killifish. They are Aphyosemion australe Chocolate and they seem to be in good color and very healthy.  They seem to be getting more reclusive as time goes on. They were hiding under their corner filter so today I gave them some fake driftwood and they seem to like that.  There is also one fake plant in there but otherwise the tank is bare.  They have a fluorescent light but it is very subdued. Is it normal for them to hide a lot?
