Re: [Killietalk] new peat ?
I don't know if it is a "good/easy" process, but I pick up individual eggs
with the tip of a pencil and place them in my hatching water.

Folks . . . those of you who pick and put eggs ON peat . . . pick from the
mops and put on the top of moist peat . . . how do you get the eggs back
into the water for hatching? Do you just submerge the peat in water and let
the whole mess hopefully hatch? Do you scrape the top layer of peat/eggs
into the water container or do you pick each egg off of the top of the water
and put them into the water. As of late I have been using the "top of peat
method" to incubate some Aphys. And Fundlop. And my fertility of these eggs
has gone up as opposed to picking and putting them in water for the entire
2-3 weeks! The transfer of the eggs back into the water is a bit of a pain .
. . is there a good/easy process?
