Re: [Killietalk] correct names for gardneri
David Ramsay re: correct names of killifish. Names change as well as
classifications. Then too the are often disagreements, especially between
USA and European hobbyists. By all means consult the official AKA
publication: KMI -IV by Ken Lazara. The full name of this book is The
Killifish Master Index. I assure you it this is a most complete compilation
of all recognized killifish species. It is time for an update as it was
published in 2000. Dr. Lazara spent literally years researching this index
and it is most thorough and informative and includes a most extensive
bibliography of killifish literature dealing with the fish. A serious
killifish hobbyist must have this book in his library. This book serves as
the official word for killifish names recognized by the AKA. It is good
reading too.
