[Killietalk] October ARK Meeting

This Saturday, October 8th, is the monthly Arizona Rivulin Keeper's meeting 
date.  We will gather at the Round Table Pizza Parlor in south Tempe at 6:30 
PM (check the ARK website for directions and a map - http://ark.aka.org). 
The first half hour will be used to set up, socialize, and enjoy pizza (at 
your cost!).  Meetings are free and the public is always welcome.

RAFFLE:  We have two Sponsors this month.  Python Products has donated one 
of their water change systems and  Novalek/Kordon contributed a case of 
Amquel+.  We also have a 10-gallon tank, some nets, and a bunch of box 
filters from Cliff Arbogast.  Of course, attendees are also encouraged to 
contribute useful items to the raffle.

PROGRAM:  The program will be one of two AKA videos - either Brian Watter's 
"Tanzania 2000" or Karl Doering's "Plant and Switch Spawners".  We'll decide 
at the meeting which we will watch.

TRADE TABLE:  As a special treat, ARK member Sue Katz (now transplanted to 
Oklahoma) has sent a shipment of some of her killies.  Be sure to bring your 
extra killifish, other unusual small fish, live food cultures (we had 
another request for a microworm culture), aquatic plants, etc.  All 
attendees can participate in the Trade Table.

DESERT SPRINGS ACTION COMMITTEE TRIP:  The annual DSAC project at Ash 
Meadows, Nevada, is coming up quickly.  Check Meetings & Events on the ARK 
website for details.
