RE: [Killietalk] RE: Top 10 things I learned from my 1st AKA convention: was The AKA Convention Fish Show

The official AKA program, Killietrax prints labels that include the
fish's score, for posting on the show tanks immediately after the
judging. This was used in 2004 and can be used every year. So if you
haven't seen it for years you must not have been at the convention in
2004. The Rockville show just didn't bother to use this feature. No idea
why.

In the Buffalo 2001 convention, we just printed tank and bag labels
from the database onto a label printer after judging was completed.
The label included the name of the person who entered the fish, the
class, entry #, the score, and if it won a place in the judging.
This should be easy to do with any database system. The second set
of labels (bag labels) was placed onto the bag the fish were put into
for the auction. That way, it was easy to let people know the show
winners when looking at fish on the auction table and during the
auction. I assume this was done on the projected screen at the
auction which serves some of the same purpose.
