Gardneri will lay plenty of eggs in mops. You can either hang them, float them, or lay them on the bottom.

Many people might argue with this, but in a well planted tank, filtration is not usually necessary. It is however good to have some water movement either from a filter, pump, or air tube. Just make sure if you are not using a sponge filter that fry can not get sucked up into the filter or pump.
