[Killietalk] Still new and trying Advice on gardneri

Hi guys,

I just wanted to get some advice and opinions.  As stated before i am very new
to this and this is my first time to dive into the hobby.  I am going to the
TAKO Convention in Houston where I'm from.  I have selected Fundulopanchax
gardneri to start with.  I was going to get 2 pairs and put them in a well
planted 10 ga. tank.  My question is:  is this ok?  What type of filtration do
I need.  I want to try breeding but do not know much about sponge filters or
what kind to get.  Will sponge filters fit on to any type of filter or is it a
separate unit.  I have a 10 ga. whisper unit by Tetra.  Also don't really know
to much about the mop method.  I do i just don't know how to make it.  I know
gardneri are bottom spawners so this may not help.  The point is this is the
setup that i am intending and i want to try starting off with gardneri.  Any
advice would be more than grateful on any tips or success the fellow members
here at AKO have had.  Also if anybody has any specific breeder names they know
in Texas or that will be at the convention please mention them, so i know i am
buying from somebody of quality.
