Huber lists at least 2 locations (Bolifamba and Yoké) and shows them
to distributed over a widish area in Cameroon. While the type locality
may be lost the species is probably sound in the wild somewhere...
Still you suggestion to establish some or other species preservation
network is a good idea; and if I may make one further suggestion...
that people taking part to should commit themselves to striving ti
enter breeding groups in at least 1 show/convention per year so as to
keep the fish in circulation. And to follow on another idea recently
posted: send the fish in with a breif pedigree to explaining the work
of the SMP and the full strain details.
