[Killietalk] new to killies
I am an experienced aquarist and I've recently become interested in raising
killifish. I would like to do a "permanent set-up" tank, probably a 10
gallon, with a pair of killies. I am hoping for an especially
ostentatiously colored fish. I liked one of the Aphyosemion australe photos
from the AKA website (link below). Why is this fish so much different than
some of the other photos I've seen of the same species? I like the very
rainbow-hued one... but another was mostly orange and another one was all
blues and greens.

So my questions are:
1.) Why do different photos of this fish look so different, how do I obtain
the ones that are multicolored and brilliant? It was listed as a "wild
chocolate" one.
2.) Are there other good beginner killies that are this brightly colored
and if so what are they?
3.) Does anyone have any good links for a beginner on how to take care of
them? I've already read a lot but the more info the better.
4.) What is the best way to find and purchase specific killifish species?
Thanks for any info!
