Tyrone, this is not correct. To set the record staright, the facts are as
follows:

Peter Kearney did not collect the Beira '98 N. rachovii. They were collected
by Roger Oxland (a resident in Beira at that time) who I was put in contact
with through Peter. Roger collected the specimens specifically for me and I
paid (if I remember correctly) US$10 per pair for about 35 pairs plus a few
extra females. Dirk Bellstedt acted as an intermediary in that he initially
paid Roger on my behalf and I then reimbursed Dirk for that as well as the
airfreight. When the fish reached Cape Town they were in shocking condition
and quite a few had already died. Dirk very kindly fed them up for a couple
of weeks before air freighting them to me.

With the cost of the fish plus the airfreight, those fish probably cost me
about US$500.

I distributed a few pairs of the wild fish as part of a donation shipment to
BAKA for one of their annual meetings and retained about 20 pairs plus a few
additional females for myself as a breeding group. Subsequently, I have
distributed eggs to many individuals. Bob was one of the recipients of eggs
and perhaps also F1 fish, I forget the details.
