What Wildekamp in Volume IV (and Lazara in KMI 4) suggests is that
Fundulopanchax deltaense is a junior synonym of Fudulopanchax gularis
(not gulare) and, since Fudulopanchax gularis has priority, that is the
name that should be used.
In my opinion, location names (such as "Warri") should only be used if
you know beyond doubt that the population you have actually does come
from a particular geographic locality.
I suppose that if you wanted to indicate that what you have is what
used to be known as deltaense you could refer to it as Fundulopanchax
gularis (previously deltaense), or something similar, although that
does tend to be cumbersome.
