The babies won't usually be eaten by the parents, but production will soon 
stop unless you remove the juveniles. They *are* predatory on newer babies 
and eggs.

ANN eggs don't like to be handled, so a "natural" tank setup with floating 
water sprite and fibrous peat substrate (or redwood fiber) has worked best 
for me. Mark's advice is about the same as mine on that.

Shine a light from above to see the "headlight" on the baby's head, and 
catch with a baby-medicine dropper or spoon. They hang at the surface and in 
or near the meniscus at the edge.

Nope. I wouldn't, anyway. Fine for display but either species might eat the 
eggs/babies of the other if given a chance. Both are too valuable to waste 
that way.
