I wonder it a deal could be worked out with them to create an English
translation and peddle it along side the German book - much like the AKA did
with that monograph on the Cameronense group by Eberl et al.

Maybe the AKA could license the text. A translation could be sold with a
copy of the German language edition.

It isn't fair to ask a publisher to produce a product they can't make money
on.

That way Tetra gets to sell a few more copies. We get to see and read what
you are describing as a work of art. And
Dick Martino has some more stuff to lug around.

I don't speak or read German. (Some days English is a foreign language.)
Maybe it is a little unfair to ask others to get involved in such as task.
It would involve farming out the chapters to one or more volunteers fluent
in German. I would be glad to proof read and minimally edit the English
edition (nobody catches all their own glitches) - if no one else wants to do
it and nobody minds if it gets done over next summer vacation.

Is there any interest among killinuts? Are there any German readers (who
after all don't need a translation) willing to help?

Who negotiated the Cameronense issue? What advice would they have for this
possibility? Heck - what editing and translating team did they have?

I assume if there is interest, one must approach the AKA board and see if
they would be interested in the project. There would be a capital outlay for
copies of the Tetra volumes and a trip to Kinko's for the printing of the
translations.

I suppose if the AKA board (Koran speaks German doesn't he?) approved such a
project, the biggest challenge would be getting Tetra to buy in to the
project. (Robert?) They are not likely to want to reprint a book published
seven or eight years ago.

It might have to do with how many unsold copies they have sitting in a
warehouse corner too, even if they want to deal with small fry like us. Then
again, maybe they would want to clear out that warehouse space.

If a translation was done, we could promise (remembering the old ADI
translations) not to use "whilst".  ;)
