Re: 20 H

Hi Michiko--

I've had killies in 20H's before. Aplocheilus lineatus does well, especially
with Pelvicachromis pulcher as the fish on the bottom half of the tank. Then
I had 3 pairs of Fundulopanchax sjoestedti Dwarf Red in a 20H one
time--gorgeous tank. Have a group of Fp. gardneri Aquarium Strain (which
means we don't know the parentage on them, but they're pretty anyway) in a
20H now--probably more than a dozen fish, really pretty--holding them until
they go back to the local elementary school tanks for the year.

BTW, I use plants and gravel in about all of my tanks--I think the tank
conditions are more stable, and the fish seem more comfortable as well.

As for killie sources, the AKA produces a monthly Business Newsletter that
contains the Fish and Egg listings, through which people can buy and sell
fish, for our members. Local affiliate clubs also often have fish to sell
and are usually quite happy to see (and help) new members.

Sounds like you're getting into killies. Let me know (off list) where you
live and I'll send you some goodies (eggs, plants and such--yes, we can and
do ship fish through the mail).
