Fish said to be descended from the subject original collection are about. At
this point it seems to depend more on your perception than the actual fish
as to whether you see the red pectorals.
Compared to more recent ANN collections the original monroviae seems
somewhat faded.

Does that original Annulatus Monroviae with the red pecs even exist
anywhere in the hobby? I had some real specimans a few years back that
i had gotten from a fellow UNYKA club member, but neither of us were
successful in keeping it going. I too search for that fish, i've
always had very good luck raising Annulatus fry and would love to get my
hands on the real deal again.
