My cutoff, for grown fish is more like 3 weeks. Oleg Kiselev once went off
to Russia for about 3 weeks, and I think he may have been surprised that
losses were less than the average when he was home!

Baby fish can actually do well if you have green water and or put a small
piece of lettuce on the water surface to produce infusoria. Another trick
is to float a mosquito-egg raft on their water (if they are big enough to
eat the larvae, of course).

My oldest son and daughter-in-law would feed my fish but, it is too much to ask for them to spend over an hour feeding fish. What do you do? I'm also curious about "golden pearls". Is this food an acceptable substitute for live food? How easy to foul the water with this food? I am open to any and all suggestions.
