Coconut fiber is available at www.wormsway.com , I just place it
in hot water and let it expand, and leave the container covered.
I do use clear containers, and opaque ones and clear one gallon
drum bowls for my peat spawner. I guess over the years I have found that
fish are not stupid and can figure their way in and out of containers. I
have use gallon pickle jars in high tanks for large diving killies, they
seem to do quite well.
a hole the size of a film cannister is fine..............the
crushed coral could be an issue since it is rough and a deep diver may
scrape themselves............ seems marble work well and are smooth so
damage has been non existent.
