Predatory larvae (was Re: Green Water)

Don't wish to start a debate, Joe, but my experience differs. Many
larvae can be predatory. I accidentally released nearly-grown mosquito
larvae into a baby container, once, and was dismayed to see a wriggler
gobble up a tiny baby killifish! [I was trying to add daphnia so the
baby daphnia would provide food.] White Mosquito Larvae (aka Glassworms)
are worse, but similar, predators on anything tiny enough for them to grab.

I'd be cautious about any such beasties in a container with new
hatchlings that might not be big enough to eat them.

YMMV
