I have used them when available, either by purchase or as a side effect of
collecting daphnia. Many smaller killies don't seem to like to eat them. Most
larger killies, like Blue Gularis and Aplocheilus lineatus, etc., seem to
like them and eat them with enthusiasm. On the other hand, a renowned
killifish breeder, Bob Felmey (for whom the KEY award is dedicated), had his
tanks loaded with glass worms to the extent it was hard to see the fish for
the glass worms. German killifish keepers refer to them as Weisse
Mückenlarven (white mosquito larvae). I can buy them from the local fish
store in winter. I used to get them mixed with daphnia from a daphnia
collector.
